Documenting AI, automation, and enterprise platforms, while the product is still taking shape

I've documented enterprise software across AI agents, automation, and platform integrations. Over time, my work has grown toward more complex systems and broader ownership, including mentoring writers and leading a learning program for writers.

Appian

Senior Information Developer, Level II (promoted) (Technical Writer)

Led technical content across Appian’s AI and automation portfolio, working with Product, UX, and Engineering while products, terminology, and user experiences were still taking shape.

  • Sole writer and content owner for the complete Appian RPA documentation set, my first assignment at Appian, for the duration of my time there.
  • Reorganized the complete RPA documentation portfolio around learn, build, manage, secure, and troubleshoot journeys, and gathered direct customer-developer feedback on the new structure through usability testing.
  • Sole writer on Appian Composer from initial development through launch; established the original documentation framework and user-facing language, contributed to terminology and feature naming, and later mentored the writer who assumed primary ownership.
  • Led end-to-end documentation strategy across AI Agents, Composer, intelligent document processing, generative AI, governance, usage and cost controls, and cloud integrations.
  • Authored the complete AI Agents and MCP Connected System documentation, including architecture, authentication, security, deployment, monitoring, and limitations.
  • Built an AI-assisted content-planning framework to synthesize fragmented product information, identify documentation gaps, and propose updates consistent with the team style guide, with writers retaining review and accountability.
  • Started and led a monthly learning program for writers: chose the curriculum and led the discussions for a year, then worked with a partner to transition leadership of what is now the Learning Lab to another writer.
  • Developed communication strategies for MCP, AI Agents, and RPA to align product capabilities, terminology, and release narratives.
